Warm people and warm weather make Belize a perfect spot for travellers looking for a slightly off-the-beaten-path trip in Central America. Our journey took us through the ancient Mayan city of Tikal and on to the lovely island of Flores. After crossing back over the Belizean border, we visited San Ignacio and Hopkins to embark on some adrenaline-pumping caving in Crystal Cave, which is definitely not for the faint of heart! Our trip concluded on the beautiful island of Caye Caulker, where we had the chance to snorkel the second-largest barrier reef in the world, ate fantastic seafood, and jammed along to reggae music.
This trip was one of the first dreamed up by G Adventures founder Bruce Poon Tip, and I'm thrilled to share my experiences of it with you through my photos.
